Free public lecture by Dr. Hannah Williams
The relics of St Geneviève protected the people of Paris for over 1000 years. When storm, war or plague threatened, her relics were taken through the streets of the city for protection.
This all changed when the French Revolution broke out. Dr Hannah Williams will tell the story of St Geneviève's relics during the chaos of the Revolution, from holy to hated, and reveals a new, unfamiliar face of the French Revolution.
